Great Trango Tower for Quokka Sports
Great Trango Tower was an excellent example of Quokka Sports Immersion. The site followed the progress of three climbers as they undertook the first ascent of a shear mile-high rock face within the Karakoram Himalayan mountain range in Pakistan.
The site was developed to be compatible with Microsoft and Netscape version 4.x browsers on both PC and Mac platforms. It utilized a "C" frame construction with a content window in the middle. Users could navigate the site within the content window, or use the main sidebar navigation on the left, or navigate according to stage or feature in the bottom frame.
I was responsible for production on the site which involved HTML coding, JavaScript implementation and image production. I also did some design work including the interactive gear piece depicted here.
