About Café de la Paz
Located at 1600 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley's "Gourmet Ghetto"Café de la Paz, one of the Bay Area's original Nuevo Latino and Tapas restaurants, and is one of the East Bay's best destinations for fresh, distinctive seafood dishes. The year 2003 marks the Cafe's 10th anniversary at its charming North Berkeley dining, catering and entertainment complex--see map for directions.
The Café's facilities include a cozy upstairs dining room accented with natural wood, a slate tile fountain, a full bar and small lounge (also used for group dining up to 20 guests), and one of the East Bay's most elegant rooms for parties, banquets and cultural performances (see banquet room photos). We also operate a popular, off-premise, full service catering department.
Café de la Paz is open everyday for dinner, lunch and weekend brunch. RESERVATIONS are especially recommended for the upstairs dining room on weekends and for peak dining hours.
