Hello Dolly!

Hello Dolly!

Meet Dolly, the first successful clone of an adult mammal! Produced by scientists led by Dr. Ian Wilmut at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland, Dolly's birth rings in a new age of reproduction technology that is sure to spur ethical debates around the world.

Dolly is the product of a donor cell of one ewe, combined with a modified donor egg of another ewe, which was then implanted into the uterus of a third ewe which gave birth to the clone. Talk about tag team reproduction!

So welcome Dolly. You've effected us as no other since you-know-who followed Mary to school one day!
